Is product 508 compliant with screen reader access?

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended in 1998, requires that federal agencies that develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology ensure accessibility. These standards, the first of their kind in the federal sector, cover various means of dissemination information, including computers, software, and electronic office equipment. They provide criteria that spell out what makes these products accessible to people with disabilities, including those with vision, hearing, and mobility impairments. Agencies must ensure that, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency:

The electronic and information technology allows federal employees with disabilities to have access to and use information and data that is comparable to the access and use of information and data by federal employees who do not have disabilities. That individuals with disabilities who are members of the public seeking information or services from a federal agency have access to and use of information and data is comparable to that provided to members of the public who are not disabled.
